Has anyone with an XDA in the UK insured their phone?

Can you provide a link or name for who you used?

The carrier O2 will cover all other phones except this one:confused:

Thanks

Jayman

My O2 XDA is insured by O2 UK for £5 a month.

Thanks for the reply samsul,

I am having a nightmare trying to get this thing insured.
O2 are telling me they won't and don't and never have
insured the XDA.

Please can you give me some more info on where you bought
the handset from - who and how you pay the insurance to
and any contact numbers they may have given you.

I.E. who do you call if it gets nicked - thanks mate.

Jayman.

If you have home contents insurance, your phone might already be covered for accidental loss & damage. I got a new timeport and e740 from my insurance after accidents with my phone & casio em500 (I still miss that screen  )

You might want to check before handing over more money to the insurance folks

Check the household out first, but make sure that they will cover you for the SIM free price of the XDA, not the purchase cost.

(Grandmother -- Eggs, I know)

I used to sell phones for a living, and we always used to offer insurance at point of purchase, 'cos we made good money on it.

Try your retailer and see if they offer any after sales insurance service. We used to at the Carphone Warehouse.

Failing that, there is a company called Digital Phone Co in East Anglia who have a sister company which supplies replacements to insurance companies - It's not listed on their website (http://www.digital-phone.co.uk/newsite/frames.htm) but you may get some info if you give them a call.

Hope this helps.
