I need to be able to browse/surf from PocketIE while connected over USB/activesync. I used to do this with my ipaq but somewhere along the line our company changed firewalls and I've never been able to get it working since. Our firewall works on specific IP addresses, so for any PC that we want to give net access we have to add that PC address to the firewall config. The desktop config for net access specifies our firewall as a proxy, along with a non-standard IP port (ie not port 80). I've tried mirroring these settings on the Axim, also tried using the net connection wizard but with no result. The strange thing is that using NetForce on the PPC I can do a 'HTTP Fetch' successfully to pretty much any webpage, yet IE just times out on any page.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

In Tools/Options in ActiveSync under the Rules tab did you set the Pass Through option to "Work" ?

Can you like run a proxy serv on your workstation and connect to that or something?

Well I checked out running ICS as I'm on XP, but because my workstation is within an NT domain XP disables the connection sharing. I'll check out third party proxies though, its worth a shot.

I hear AnalogX's proxy works good. It was mentioned a few times back before Pocket PC 2002 came out.
