I sure wish this stuff would make the front page.
All that needs to be done is send a release to the "submit news" link at the top of each page...

Noticed it was actually a Korean release if I'm reading the version numbers right.
I figured that's as good of reason for not adding it to the main page as any.
Besides, I honestly don't know how you guys work out the front page news anymore and I figure it's none of my business.
So long as the forums keep flowing, I'm happy.

We generally post about 50% of the stuff that hits the news queue. About 20% of the remaining stuff is duplicate, another 20% is irrelevant, and maybe the last 10% is in a grey area where unless someone really wants to post on it, it just doesn't seem compelling enough for the entire readership. If you submit something that you feel is newsworthy, and we don't post it, it's not because we don't like you or anything, but rather, we have to wade through a ton of stuff and select out what shouts out to us. :)
For what it's worth, significant updates to things like WinamPAQ would probably generate a post.

Does anyone know if this player supports .wma's? I see many great players out there, but few third parties have .wma support.
Thanks!

Quite sure it's just mp3 and ogg. With .ogg, why do we need .wma? Give it a try, I think you'll be surprised by the results.

I CANNOT get to download this.... the page to do it is empty.
p.s. I have a loox, would I use .92 to get the remote feature, or do all later versions have it too?

You have Norton Internet Security 2003 on your PC, am I right?
Disable it just long enough to download WinamPAQ. NIS2003 disables the display of the download page, I don't know why. I don't think there is any "danger" in doing so.
NIS2003 behaves very weirdly at times. It tags some of my brother's email as "SPAM", and some of mine on his system.

Actually, you only have to disable Confidentiality Protection in NIS2003. This time I had a look at the logs. First there is a cookie transaction. Then NIS detects a request for confidential data from the WinamPAQ web site, and blocks the URL.

How do I use my winamp skins? I send the file, but the Axim tries to say that it should be opened w/ pocket music, and winampaq doesn't see it! Help? Thanks.

The FAQ (http://www.projecteam.org/phpwiki/index.php/English%20-%20FAQ) covers this step by step.
Basically, you need Winamp 2.0 skins, later versions won't do. A WSZ skin file is really ZIP file that contains all the bitmap files of the skin, so you rename the skin file .ZIP so you can extract the content into a folder. You copy the folder to your PocketPC main memory or unto a Storage Card. Then you point WinamPAQ to that folder.
Just follow the instructions of the FAQ.

Thanks very much! That was a challenge! It turned out I was just copying the file before doing the compress/decompress thing, and that's why it didn't work. Thanks again! :D :D :)

TIP: Keep in mind that you can delete the .CUR files in the (.wsz) zip file - WinamPAQ just ignores these anyway - so why not save some space?
Cheers
