I saw TV advertising on Antenna booster for cellphones that fits between cellphone batteries. Do these stuff actually work? Thanks

I remember reading something 6-8 months ago that showed this was a total scam. If it was so easy to boost the reception this way, the phone makers would be doing this themselves.
Wasn't there a thread here months ago about a spray that allegedly would boost your wifi performance?
I got one of those sticker antennas in the mail. Ask any engineer buddies and you'll know that all this sticker does is make you think you're getting a better connection. (i.e. Type R sticker = +10hp)

I don't see how it could do any good without a physical connection to the wireless devices real antenna. Maybe if it was some sort of a waveguide, but it'd still have to completely surround the real antenna.

I had one. Got it for a buck off ebay, wasn't going to pay any more for it. Didn't do a thing. I was not surprised.
