I am using WithMP3, WinamPAQ
Both having an equalizer which I can adjust the bass/terble. But when i increase the bass, there is some "chunk chunk" sounds...which means no base @ all.....Is it the sound card problem? or...?

The speakers in PPCs are not exactly what I would call high quality. If your looking for better bass I would recommend you look into a quality pair of headphones. Also if you have more problems list the PPC that you have. Some have better sound then others.

If you have an iPaq 3900 (hey, how about providing information if you post a question?) series be sure the audio base/treble control isn't set for increased effects, the "doubling" effect of both EQ's (iPaq's and MP3 player's) running can sound awful together.

I am not to familiar with the E740. Perhaps it doesn't use very good hardware for sound. 1 thing you might check is the pre-amp. With some software , I know WinamPAQ has one, if you set it set it to high it will over drive the speakers. I have to cut it back a bit for the bass to sound good on my Ipaq. Not sure what else it might be.
