If you ordered your Axim in Mid-Jan....buyer beware:

Like many on this board I ordered my Axim Advanced right before the Jan. 19th conclusion of the $50 rebate. It was ordered via the web on 1/17, received email confirmatin that evening but didn't get the second "order entry" confirmation until 1/22.

Everything was OK until I got my Axim on 2/7 and the box was missing the rebate form. I called Dell and they stated they had no record of me ordering it on Jan. 17th since the order date in the system was 1/22. After explaining my story to the courteous customer service rep they credited my credit card the $50 rather than sending me the rebate form. Luckily they didn't hassle me about the story and promptly credited me after a mere 10-15 minutes on the phone. This may be due to the fact that I've spent a lot of $$$ with them over the years on desktop systems.

I know other buyers here were questioning why it was taking so long to get the "order entry" confirmation. If you received that email after the 19th you may be in the same boat as I found myself.

Just a heads up that you should call the Dell Customer Service line ASAP if you didn't receive the rebate form. The bright side to this deal is I don't have to wait the 6-8 weeks to get my $50!!

I was gonna say, lucky you! It's 8-10 weeks not 6-8 for the rebate too...I think you ended up with a better deal then those of us who got the rebate :)

Now of course the rebate form never comes in the box, you print it off the web site and include your packing slip, but if your packing slip shows an order date of after the 19th, I'm sure it would get rejected.

That reaction from customer service though is exactly the right response and what I would expect from Dell(or any other company) in a situation like this. Go them!
