I'm looking for a simple, small task switcher with true program closing. I don't want anything fancy with alot of options. What stable PPC 2002 program would you recommend? Thank you.

I like to use Pocket Nav (http://www.scottandmichelle.net/scott/cestuff.html). It is a small and free program switcher.

There are a couple of freeware utilities, including PocketNav as previously mentioned, and vBar (http://www.vieka.com/vbar.htm). There's one more that I can't remember.

Commercially, in my opinion the best one out there is Pocket Plus (http://www.softspb.com/products/pocketplus/). It's worked better than the rest for me, and I like how it integrates into the X without adding any additional UI controls. :)

WisBar is great... and it's free!

Get the 1.1.0 Final... Some people are having issues with the 1.2 beta 4. But 1.1.0 works great.

Thanks for the replies. Have PocketNAV and vBar proved stable?

I have had no problem with PocketNAV except that somtimes the "OK" button does not show. It's realy not a problem because if you tap the spot where the "Ok" should be it does the same thing.

I can vouche for PocketNAV... I've been using it for over a year and it's both simple and effective.

I like the one that came with my Dell called Switcher Bar, I don't know if you can dl it from anywhere though. I use Pocket Plus also but just to make the X close programs, and to add some program shortcuts to the today screen.

Pocket Plus is definitely a winner. Its developed from Spb, the same software company Jason Dunn works for :D

I wonder if it would be possible to have someone send the Dell Switcher bar to someone using a non-Axim. Someone should try it. It would technically be a free task-manager.
