I have an h5450 and I want to play MP3 using my Wi-Fi.
I mean, I have the mp3 files on some computer over the network.. and play them on my PPC.
The problem is that i play the files with Microsoft Windows Media Player, but i always get some blank on the sound (the buffer is too low)

Does someone know how to fix this? or know some program that actually works?

Thanks!

You could try using the Windows Media Encoder, it's what I use. Just go to http://www.windowsmedia.com and select 'downloads' at the botton of the screen...

It streams media accross the whole network... really usefull...

Pepemosca, I think I got a setup that does what you want.

Download PocketMVP, an MP3 player and DivX video player from www.pocketmvp.com. It's a good little player and does MP3 well. It also blows Microsoft's player away on video too when you get round to it! :)

To access the files on my server over WiFi I use Resco's File Explorer (search for it on Handango and download a trial). It's way better than the standard file explorer and let's you open My Network and navigate through shared directories. Once you've found an MP3, the first time you'll want to tap and hold and then associate the filetype with PocketMVP if you didn't do it when you installed it. Then, just tap on an MP3 file on your network and get it playing 100% over WiFi with no buffering problems.

Good luck!

If there's "Power-saving" mode in the WLAN driver applet, turn it *OFF* to see if it helps. I've had a similiar problem and turning off power-saving mode seems to solve the problem.

I had it off, but still the problem.

Which player are you using?

I use with Mp3 along with Pocket LAN. AFter adjusting my buffer manually I've had no problems.
