As I travel a bit I thought I would get a CF modem and leave the laptop at home. Got a Compaq 56K Compactflash Modem off ebay, but I am having difficulties getting it to dial properly. It always adds 9,011,0 to the front of the local number that I am dialling, no matter what I do in the settings. Is there a way to tell it that this is a local call - I have left the area code and country blank.
I have left my dialling patterns alone - they seem to be OK - just a G for a local call.
In the select a modem menu I have selected Compact Modem 56K - which is only available when the CF modem is installed
Any Suggestions?
