I'm about to start setting up my wireless equipment in a few days and thought I remember reading somewhere that it was mentioned the e740 manual had some errors in it for the WiFi set up. Does anyone know of a web resource where the wireless setup/configuration was documented better than the manual?

Here's an article on how to set up an ad hoc (peer to peer) connection with the e740. I'm assuming you have a wireless access point, so you can ignore the first half of the article and just read the part on configuring the e740. Just remember to change your IP and gateway address to that of your access point (instead of the peer computer as shown in the article). Hope this helps!

Thanks for the article.... didn't see it until today. I set things up last night and got it working in a relatively short time, pretty easy. Had a few problems with WEP but not too bad.

If you want to try wireless ActiveSyncing, take a look here:

I do have a follow on question. For home use I'm using SSID and WEP but when I'm out in the real world and want to access via a hot-spot (say Starbucks) is there a way (built in or via add-on) to just select a "profile" so I can configure no SSID and WEB and then just select another "profile" to return to my home settings. I don't wan to type that long WEP string in each time.
