What did this card format out at for you? When I received mine, I just threw it in the PPC and went on with life. Now that I look at it (in the memory settings display), it says it has 241.13MB total storage card memory. Should I have formatted it or something prior to placing it in the PPC? Or, is this the normal difference between spec and usability (like that new 120GB hard drive is really ~112GB)?
Thanks much,
Brent

This is normal.

It's the normal difference. Your PPC (and computer) considers 1K to be 2^10 = 1024 bytes, 1MB to be 2^20 = 1048576 bytes. Marketing departments consider 1K to be 1000 bytes, 1MB to be 1000000 bytes.

... and they should be shot for this, IMHO. :D
At least it's not as bad as the old days when Seagate used to consider "unformatted" capacity as a feature (a number usually about 30-40% greater than "formatted" capacity)...

Yes, this is normal (sadly) - it's the old 1024 = 1000 issue.
