Is it possible to setup a network connection so I can access it through Rescoe Explorer? I don't know much about this type of thing...

I am using Resco Explorer with my iPAQ 5450 to access shared drives on my office and home PC's via WiFi.

If you are connected to a wireless network tap on the Network icon (little hand holding a very old or very big hard drive). Tap on "Map Drive" and Resco Explorer will find all of the networked devices near you. If you have made a drive or folder available to share on a PC, you will be able to map it as a networked drive and connect to it anytime. Be sure to password protect any shared drive to prevent any other wireless (or networked) users from accessing it (unless you want them to).

If you mean sharing a folder on a PC, just find the folder you want to share, right click it, hit Sharing and Security, then Share this Folder on the network. (This is specfic to Windows XP, it may be different but similar on a different OS).

Ok, well, on what machine did you hit map drive?

On your PC or your PPC?

When you map the drive, you have to provide the full PC name and drive, as in MYDESKTOP\\c:

Proper UNC path's are as follows \\Computername\Sharename

e.g. \\MYPC\MyShares where MyShares is a shared folder on a computer called MYPC.
