I'm in the market for SD memory. I'm leaning to a 256MB for the price, but I've seen some not-so-good things about SanDisk. What is the BEST type of SD memory, and what makes it better?

Also, is there such thing as FASTER memory than others? Speaking strictly for PPCs, that is.

Now I'm no memory expert, but SanDisk has always worked great for me! I know this isn't much, but it's my 2¢

I can't image there being much of a difference between Sandisk and the other brands. I just purchased 256MB Sandisk SD Card today from www.ssdonline.com for only $79.99 + ~$6 shipping via UPS ground. It's the best deal that I've seen online for one.

Here's one for $60.99 shipped after MIR:

My brother has a 128MB SanDisk card and has nothing but problems (lots of posts here in other forums re the SanDisk cards). I have been using a Lexar 128MB SD card and it has performed flawlessly.

For best prices, I keep an eye on www.techbargains.com. There currently have a link to a $55 SD card after $30 rebate.

Well that's great! I just cancelled my original order and ordered it from the dealer with the rebate. I had checked www.pricewatch.com before ordering, but must have missed the rebate offer. Thanks for the heads-up.
