What’s the best way to connect to the internet with a PPC, with out syncing ?

The reason I am asking is because I am planning to buy a new PDA and I figured it may be worth it to fork out the money to get this option. Also what’s the necessary hardware needed and costs involved for the services :?:

Just to clarify, by "compact," Traveller most likely means Compact Flash, which is an expansion slot in many PPC devices, which allows for more memory as well as other accessories.

You can definitely do it the dial-up modem way with your dial-up ISP. If you want something a bit faster, you can go with a wireless 802.11b CF card. If you have a wireless network set up at work or wherever you are for most of your time, this is a good simple method of getting online. The only prerequisite is that you have a wireless network. That will most likely cost you at least $50.
