PRoblems with file transfers

when ever i transfer any video file over when i try to play it pocket pc says that it can't find all the components of the files or i might not have the rights to view it. What is going on? does anyone know how to fix this?
also while in the cradle my phone appears to turn on at random after i shut it off. This sucks.

Any ideas or help?

what format are the files in?

if they are MPEG and perhaps AVI you will need to use a different video player since MediaPlayer only supports WMV files.

as far as the phone turning on at random times in the cradle there must be some process becoming active like loosing the phone signal or an alarm turning it on. unfortunately mine does the same, but i just ignore it...

it is good to know that your having that same problem... I was transfering WMV but that never worked so i trnasfered a MPEG and loaded pocket TV and that works amazingly well so i guess i will have to start to compress to MPEG thanks.

you can download the bmw movies in wmv format to see if they will work.
just search the ppcthoughts for 'bmw' to get the link to the movies.
