hi, i have a dell Axim and want to get mp3's from my computer. I already shared my mp3's folder on my desktop and i want to map to it.
I'm connecting to my computer using the usb cradle and i can connect to the internet with it. How do i map a network drive to my pc?
Thank you

you can use Resco Explorer 2003 to map the folder, but you'd have to make it a shared folder....

Can RE2003 do that through a USB connection?

Another option would be to just drop & drag your MP3 files to the "PDA My Documents" folder (substitute PDA for your device name). This folder is automatially created if you choose to sync Files in ActiveSync.

I'm pretty sure that the only way to browse a network from your PPC is if you actually have the networking gear, like an ethernet or 802.11b card. AFAIK, you can't browse the network over your USB ActiveSync connection.

Actually, I thought the same thing until someone mentioned a solution in another thread a little while back... I just wouldn't know how to search for it. There is a way to do it using some specialized 3rd party software. I just don't believe Resco Explorer is that package.
