http://www.silverslider.biz/

I didn't think George Mosquera was still making these, but it looks like he is - the Silver Slider was truly a revolutionary device when it first came out, and there are a few models to chose from. If you've got the bucks, George makes a nice product.

I got a SS3 a month ago and can't say enough good things about it. It's the only after market device that I consider worthy of strapping to the Ipaq (Cases included.). Nothing else seems to live up to the design quality of the Ipaq other than the Sliver Sliders.

if only george make a memory stick adaptor available, it will be even better!

I had a SS2 for my old Ipaq 3650. It was the BEST investment I made. Truly a work of art and a very high quality product.

He kind of does. Get a CF+MS Memplug and he can "sliderized" it.

Look what GM did with my dual CF Memplug:

Too bad he can't make a PC Card SS for an Axim. Or can he?

If you can find a PC card sleeve for an Axim I'll bet you that he can do wonders with it.

It's good to see that the SSs are still going. A friend of mine has one for his Ipaq and loves it. The quality of the SS is every bit as good (maybe better) than that of the Ipaq itself.

I would have thought, that with more PPCs having either embedded WiFi/BT or dual card slots, the demand for the SS must be less than in the past.

The Memplug was $50 from CompUSA and GM charged me $55 for the mod (+$15 for the case).

If I remember correctly, CompUSA has the CF+MS Memplug for $40.

I have the SS2, and I think it's great, but I don't use it much anymore because I'm very fussy about cases. I had the Vaja case for the iPAQ 3630 and SS2 and was really happy with it. Since I traded up to the 3975 I've been unable to find a case that fits the SS2 that I'm happy with. I have a black Pielframa case, but it's kind of bulky and boring, and I don't much like the case opening for the CF slot (I don't keep the WiFi inserted when I'm not using it, so would prefer no opening). Right now I'm using an Inooch case for naked iPAQ, and at one point they were going to make an SS2 case, but that deal fell through, unfortunately. If someone would make a great looking case for the 3975 and SS2 I'd go back to using it all the time.
