Ok heres the deal. I syncd my computer for the first time with Outlook 2002 and it syncd with my Inbox on my pocket pc. Got email on PPC and desktop PC. I also use Outlook Express Email and it asked to be the Default setting for my pop mail acount. I selected yes. Now I do not get email on my pocket pc. Anyone know what the problem might be? how do I get email again on my ppc??
And are ISP the only places to get a POP acount??

AFAIK, Outlook is the only (email) thing that ActiveSync will sync with. So, the only ways to get your emails on your PPC are: 1) pass thru connection to your account directly with your PPC before the Outlook Express checks your mail (Outlook Express presumably will remove them from the server), or 2) make Outlook your default mail program again so that your email goes there, and Activesync will sync with it.

As far as part 2 of your question, I have no idea.

Thanks for the help! I have no idea how to do part 1 or 2. So could you tell me how to do part 1?

Quoted from the Help (F1) in Microsoft Outlook with a search string of "Make outlook default" [Other people have said differently, but I find the built in Help (F1) files to be extremely helpful, especially with Microsoft products]:

"Make Outlook the default program for E-mail, Contacts, and Calendar
On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click Other.
Under General, select the Make Outlook the default program for E-mail, Contacts, and Calendar check box. "

That is from MS Outlook 2002, which you said you use, so it should be the same.

Hope that helped.

OK....Instead of copy and pasting from the help file, I will actually try it myself.
...
Tools | Options | Other

On THIS screen there is a section called "General"...the second box down should be labeled "Make Outlook the default program for E-mail, Contacts, and Calendar"

I had the same problem and finally figured out what stitics explained. If you sync your device PRIOR to opening Outlook Express, your email will automatically be pulled into Outlook and consequently, into your PPC.

AFAIK?? It took me 5 minutes to figure that one out :D  !
