e740 and SimpleTech 512mb

Just got a SimpleTech 512mb CF card yesterday and inserted it and it worked just fine, copied some files, etc. This morning when I turned the e740 on I get an error that it can't access the card, I've re-inserted the card, soft-reset the e740. Any thoughts? Has anyone else had problesm with the SimpleTech cards?

As a follow up, I put the card in my CF reader on my PC and it worked just fine. When I re-inserted in the e740 I got a Format message, when selecting Yes it got an error, guess we can add this card to the list of cards that don't play well with the e740. Can anyone recommend 256 - 512mb CF cards that have a proven track record for success with the e740?

We go through a LOT of CF cards at work, SimpleTech is one of the brands we don't buy anymore as they have proved woefully unreliable.
We now only buy Viking, SanDisk, and Kingston.

Thanks for the help, I can get a Viking one for just a few bucks more so I'll go that route. Funny that it worked fine in my PC Reader though and for about 3 hours in the PDA. Have a 128mb SimpleTech for my Digital Camera that's been fine, lucky I guess. I'd keep the 512 for the camera but it doesn't accept type II cards.

If you haven't been getting the cards from Amazon, definitely check it out. The Viking 512MB CF card is $149 or so...great deal.
