I've seem to come to a road block with ebooks. I've activated MS reader, and have downloaded some classic ebook and put them in "my documents" though active sync "explore". I go to Library in MS reader and nothing is there. Am I doing something wrong here??

Are the ebooks on a storage card or in your internal RAM?

Forgive me if I underestimate your knowledge...

A few basic steps just to make sure you're in the right direction...
Are they .lit files? Do they work on your desktop?

I'm asking these because I can't really think of anything else that would cause this sort of a problem. Other applications work fine with files in My Documents, right?

Thats ok, I'm not too smart when in comes to computers! They are .pdf and .DOC files.

Jackpot.

To view PDF files, you need to download Adobe acrobat reader for PocketPC. To view DOC (assuming they're not Word files) you need Palm Reader.

Acrobat Reader (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html)
Palm Reader (http://www.peanutpress.com/).

Ok, this is starting to make sense now. MS Reader will only read .LIT files.

if the files happen to be word files you can go to microsofts web page and download an add on that will convert the word files to .lit so reader can use them

How does that conversion work for texts from Project Guttenberg? Palm Media requres a lot of reformatting to get a clean-looking book. Is it the same for Reader, or, if you convert the .txt file to a Word file does it work well?

Just curious, and don't have a PPC yet to test it out myself...
