AC/Synch Travel Options --- Again

I posted this before but didn't receive any responses. One more time...

I am looking for an AC/Synch travel charger/cords. I've heard good things about the Gomadic cables, but when I looked at the product, it said that the PDA must be left on in order for it to charge. Is this the case with other brands?

Any other recommendations?

Belkin makes some good cables. You didn't say what unit you have but I have purcahsed 2 from them for the Ipaq 3600 and 3900. The only thing I don't like about the 3900 cable is that you can't sync and charge at the same time. Hope this helps.

I need an AC adapter as I will not always have a PC on the road.

How about a DC -> AC inverter (http://www.mobileplanet.com/listing.asp?cat%5Fid=109&cat%5Fname=Accessories&pdept%5Fid=6&dept%5Fid=6550&dept%5Fname=Vechicle+DC+to+AC+Inverters+) for your car. Then you just use the power cord that came with the Pocket PC?
