automotive software

Does anyone know if there is any automotive performance tuning software for PPC? They have tons of programs that use laptops for tuning the ECU but why spend 1300 on a laptop if I can get the same thing for my PPC!!! Any input (other sites to check or where to find this software) would be greatly appreciated.
