The safest way is to uninstall the version in main memory, then reinstall it on your memory card. If you try copying it, you'll certainly have to recreate your shortcuts, and, if the software relies on registry settings, the copied version may not work at all (without editing the registry). The Remove Programs feature won't work after the copy (again, unless you update the registry).

If the program keeps any data files in the directory with the program, make sure you back those up, just in case the uninstall routine tries to delete them.
