I didn't see it posted elsewhere so here it is: C|net gives the Axim X5 their "Editor's Choice" award (http://computers.cnet.com/hardware/0-2709830-404-20702372.html?tag=byline).

By the way does anyone know what kind of battery life you get using the extended battery of the Axim???

The Extended Battery is Awesome. It seems to last forever. At 3400mAh it over twice the capacity of the standard battery. I read an eBook with backlight on Max, CPU set to auto for 7 hrs straight and still had 71% charge left on the Extended Battery. I'm going to have to do a better test one of these days, but that is all I've done so far.

The 3955 seems like a nice device. What made you switch to the Dell?

So say .3x = 7 hours, that would get....nearly 24 hours straight!?!?!

Granted it isn't gaming or playing multimedia, but that's still straight up amazing. I'd be happy with a good 5 hours from my Maestro. :D

Does the extended battery also make the device (Axim) bigger or is it the same size as the priginal one?

Good to see someone who still uses the proper C|Net.

The extended battery is thicker than the standard battery so would make the Axim bigger.
