Random Handango complaint

Heh, completely random but is anyone else completely annoyed that Handango doesn't provide direct links to the software company's / software program's website? I mean, it's just such a waste of time to have to figure it out via the email address or search. :? Or have I been blind all this time and missed it?

Yea, I noticed it, and have been annoyed by it. Most of the time it is not too hard to find the site. I'm sure it is an economic thing. Seems many sites have their own purchasing system, independent of Handango. Even though it is usually the same price, once you are there, it is likely you will just buy it there, costing Handango a sale.

I do a lot of purchase through Handango and their setup for going back and re-downloading has come in handy often. Especially for those titles that don't have reg codes and are just full versions downloaded from the Handango registered link.

Just as annoying is how the programs themselves don't even list the website when hitting the "About" selection on your PPC... HELLLOOOO???!!???

Yeah, I actually keep a list of all the apps I register through ListPro complete with dates, versions, price, reg codes, order number, developer websites, etc. The one piece of information that I always have to go fishing for is the developer website.

I've resorted to doing quick google searches to find the manufacturer's website. "{product name} Pocket PC" is a very reliable search string.

I also do the same trick as ekkie, but instead use eWallet for my serials and codes. :)

This is minor but an annoyance. What I don't like about handango is that when downloading software, I have to go to another page and then click download. I just want to click Trial or Freeware and directly download the application. This can be extremely slow when running PIE.
