Username / Password for VPN or shares?

Where would I enter the username and password for a VPN connection using the VPN "solution" provided with PocketPC 2002? Also, where would I enter the username/password when I try to open a remote share on my workstation? The VPN software doesnt really seem to do anything (is it supposed to prompt me? how do i init a connection?).

It should prompt you the first time it attempts to activate the connection. In that dialog you will be given the option to save your password.

EDIT: To activate the connection, you can use the "Connect" button in the Connections control panel applet.
