View Full Version : Problem Ripping DVD's for PPC

I've been trying to rip my copy of LOTR for use on my PPC, however using Smart Ripper (I think? Whichever once is recommended by pocketmatrix guide...) I get a blue screen with a DVD unreadable (Please make sure the disk is still in the drive, if it is in the drive it may need to be cleaned...) Several tries with the same result. The disk has very very minor scratches, unless you look hard it looks like a new disk. So... is the copy process so sensitive, do I need a better disk (I'd almost have to buy a new one), or is my DVD drive not very good at overlooking small errors?

I find CladDVD works well. Afterdawn is a good place to start for advice on rippers etc.

You could also give 'DVD Decrypter 3.0' a go if you're running out of options. You can find it on www.doom9.org in the download section.
