I AM NOT SELLING ANYTHING, so please don't think I'm breaking the rules!

I'm looking for selling advice for a few tiny Pocket PC emblems. Specifically, I have ~30 "Friends Don't Let Friends Use Palm" and ~20 "Palm Free Zone" self-sticking emblems specially made for sticking on the inside of a piece of glass, windshield, etc. These are the official Microsoft-made emblems that were introduced with the Pocket PC and have become harder to come by ever since.

I want to sell them on eBay or in a Pocket PC forum, but I'm not sure of a few things:

1 - Is eBay or is some "For Sale" Pocket PC forums the best place?
2 - If I sell them, should I sell them single items (1 sticker = 1 item) or in a bundle of 5 or 2 stickers, 2 per pack (one of each type = 1 item), etc.
3 - My thought was 99 cents per sticker + shipping (at $0.50). Is that reasonable?

Any thoughts on the best way to sell these to enthusiasts?

PS: PLEASE do not e-mail me with offers! I'm looking for advice to sell these in the best ways - not to sell them here. Thanks!

I'd suggest that you not charge shipping on each sticker/bundle/etc if one person places more than one order (combine shipping costs). I'm afraid that's all I have to offer, though.

Suggest that you take paypal as a source of payment. Also post here when you decide where to sell, I may be interested in a few.

One thing you could try is approach some developers/ISV's, who would buy the stickers from you (in bulk), and then give them away to their customers as promotional items.

Thanks for the all the replies. I just dumped 'em in the trash. Anything lower, isn't worth the percentage eBay takes, then PayPal, then dropping each one in an envelope and mailing it.

Thanks for the insights... Cheers!

Wow. If that trash hasn't been hauled away yet, you may even want to consider selling them in groups of 5 or 10 (or even the whole batch). I wouldn't offer them on an individual basis. Selling a group of these with a $.50 shipping cost would be pretty reasonable methinks.

Well, I for one would have liked the chance to buy one. The paypal fee on this low $ transaction would be alot less than the .37 it would have cost to mail you a check and then the gas for you to go to the bank and deposit it. I am assuming you got these for free, so everything would have been pure profit. Also, you could have easily put them up as one bulk pack and at least made some money rather than throw them away. Could have even donated them to PocketPC Thoughs and maybe they could have incorporated them into a giveaway.

I pulled them back out of the trash, but still don't know what to do to get a few $ for 'em. I have 28 "Friends Don't Let Friends Use Palm" and 23 "Palm Free Zone" emblems.

Any constructive ideas or offers can be sent to [email protected]. I suspect someone has a desire for these - and although I'd rather not just trash them, I also don't want to spend a lot of time mailing out potentially 30-50 different items all over the US (or even worldwide).

Thanks to all of you who keep this great Pocket PC World turning. Cheers!

Simple. Speak to Jason about a trade of some description for an item he has and no longer wants...then, Jason can give them away to PPCT readers as merit badges.

I amaze myself sometimes. 8)
