So, now I have a nice Dell Axim which I'd like to use as a GPS receiver for my car. I think I've narrowed it down to either Teletype's bundle or Travroute's. They both are around $300 and appear to be pretty good at what they do. Does anyone have any experience with either? I just don't wanna get stuck with one when the other was better. :?
Thanks!

I bought my TravRoute Pocket CoPilot based on a Semper:Aptus review (http://www.semperaptus.com/reviews/r080101.shtml), which said the Teletype version stunk. That review is a year-and-a-half old, though, so maybe Teletype has gotten better. Nonetheless, I'm pretty happy with Pocket CoPilot.

Also, check out the PocketNow GPS reviews (http://reviews.pocketnow.com/index.cgi?db=reviews&category=82) if you haven't seen them.

try this site for some reviews....

I've been looking around for the same thing as well. So far I've heard that Destinator 2 is the first one with 3-d maps (bird's eye view), kinda like the ones you see installed in cars.

Besides the other sites listed, there are also GPS Passion (http://www.gpspassion.com), which has decent Pocket PC coverage, and GPS Information (http://gpsinformation.net), which seems more general.

Thanks for all the info, I will definitely check out all these links. Pony99CA I have a question about the TravRoute. Did you happen to purchase the Dell Axim bundle? If so, can you operate the GPS system without any external power? In the bundle, it says it includes a car adapter. So is that adapter just for the GPS receiver, or does it power both the GPS receiver and Axim?
Thanks!

I have an iPAQ 3870, and bought the NavMan sleeve version. I assume you're looking at the CF card version, right?

As far as I know, all of the adapters power both the Pocket PC and the receiver. In fact, the CF receiver probably gets its power from the Pocket PC, so it could be used without any external power (at least for a while).
