For a pocketnow review, that's short, believe me.<br /><br />"I know some of you are real case freaks. I read about you all the time on your various websites (you know who you are). You buy a zillion cases, find something wrong with them, or see the next greatest thing and then drop another hundred bucks on the fanciest new design. I would even hazard a guess that we have a few of these folks here at pocketnow.com (you also know who you are). Well, I am not that person. No one generally likes the case that comes with their PDA, because they're usually pretty poorly designed and constructed. After all, who's going to put a $500-600 piece of sensitive gadgetry into a vinyl sleeve with a piece of cardboard in it? Even I won't settle for this. However, I also won't drop $100 on a case - I'm not that rich, and it seems like a waste of money to me, when $30-$40 will do. Last time I bought a case, I went even cheaper; I bought a $20.00 case (I think) from Casio when I had my E-125. And guess what, I got my use out of that sucker! After I dumped the Casio, I used it to carry my iPaqs (I've gone from a 3850 to a 3955)! Bulky? yes. Protected? Very much so. Pretty? No way. But I felt safe this way. And once Compaq (now HP) bundled the iPaq with the screencover sleeve (great idea), I was settled. No, I wouldn't really be carrying my Pocket PC in my pocket, but I could at least slip it in the Casio case for traveling, then when I got to work or wherever, I would just use the sleeve cover. This was pretty ghetto, to say the least."<br /><br />If you'd like to save a few bucks when ordering one of these, you can <a href="http://www.madebywhitney.com/products/whitneynew/pocketpcthoughts.htm">use our affiliate link.</a>
This has got me thinking.
Sure I could buy a 5450 for $700.00 and have BT WiFi, but only one expansion slot.
Bit, what about getting the 3950, the MbW case and a BT card which would cost about $600.00 with some of the good deals around on the 3950.
This would give me everything I need (don't need the fingerprint jobbie) and the big plus of that CF slot for other devices should I ever need it.
The cost saving is pretty good when taking into account that I would still need to get a decent case for the 5450.
This idea seems to make tons of sense for me. Am I missing something?

I HATE flip top cases!!!
I've got a Vaja case that I use for around the office; and unless THEY come down in price, its doubtful that I'll EVER buy from them again.
I really want an out and about town kind of case that doubles as a wallet. I want one that offers some sort of zippered or magnetic closure sure, but I'd like it to be a "book" styled or billfold case as opposed to the flip top case. (Did I mention that I hate those..?)
Targus used to make a case like this, the CH300, I think, but has since discontinued this case. They were in part, discontinued due to their velcro closures quickly wearing out. I recently bought a few and am (unfortunately) using my last one. When that one won't stay shut anymore, I'm going to need to find a replacement case (which up to now has proven to be EXESSIVELY difficult) or modify the ones that I have to use some sort of magnetic closure.

Are you implying that we're wordy over at pocketnow.com? I'm incensed!
Really, I just can't believe you could say such a thing! Us, wordy? Or to use another term, loquacious? Is that what you're trying to say? Is it? Huh? To reiterate, I can't believe you could say such a thing! I'm shocked! Nonplussed! Inflamed! And quite frankly at a loss for words!
I try to keep everything that I write as concise as possible. Small. Tidy. Compact. Efficient. The minimum number of words required to get my point across. No more. No less. Another thing is that I can't understand it when people feel compelled to repeat themselves. Using multiple similar or otherwise like words to say the same thing. Over and over and over again. It's just so annoying when people don't know when to shut up. Do you know what I mean? You know the type... they have to use long, run-on paragraphs to say what they can say in one sentence and then of course they usually have no mastery of sentence structure and they don't use proper punctuation and proper spelling and there typing is atrocio$u7s while most of they're posts and articles are endless and boring and most the time I want to just scream.
(Let's see... just 3 1/2 more pages and 7000 more words to go...)
Did I mention that I can't believe you could say such a thing?
OK, I'm done now... just couldn't resist. :P
