I am running a Dell X5 400 with a D-link wireless card. Interested in finding out if there are any anti-virus/firewall products for use on the PPC.
Thanks

Antivirus:
PC-cillin (http://www.trendmicro.com/en/products/desktop/pcc-wireless/evaluate/overview.htm)
F-Secure (http://www.f-secure.com/wireless/pocketpc/pocketpc-av.shtml)
McAfee (http://www.mcafee.com/myapps/vsw/handscan/ov_pocketpc.asp)
I think Norton has one as well...

Mind you, it's not really necessary right now...

As for firewall programs, there is some speculation about those being included in the next version of the pocket pc operating system.

Does the pocket pc listen to any ports, I suppose it must to use netbios but I tried a tcpscan against mine and got everything back as closed, maybe it uses udp...
If it listens to ports, then I want a firewall now!!! not in the next release of a os that I cant upgrade to anyway having a mips processor...

I wouldn't think so, since the WinCE unit is not serving anything by default. You don't need to be listening to any ports for NetBIOS to work -- you just need to initiate an outbound TCP connection. NetBIOS does use UDP broadcast for name resolution, but that's optional if you set up a HOSTS entry or just use a raw IP address. Admittedly, I haven't checked, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.
