Does anyone know or have heard rumors about the next generation of Pocket PCs? I switched from Handspring to Compaq to HP to Sony and I'm thinking of switching back again to a Pocket PC, but I'm waiting for a newer version of the OS and better hardware (e.g., 480x320 screens like on the Clies). I just can't avoid switching back and forth... :?

The Next PPC OS, Pocket PC 2003(2004?) is rumored to be released this spring. According to an article posted here earlier, the next OS has landscape capability, IE 5.5 capability, and much more advanced multimedia.

Interesting news...will new hardware standards be released with the upcoming OS upgrade?

Little is known about the specs for the next pocket pc. However, a little while back a video of a new hp prototype with an integrated fold-out keyboard was leaked onto the web. Who knows, maybe it will be one of the designs for the next pocket pc os. In case you haven't seen it yet you can check it out here..
