ok guess, be patient. i found that outlook 2002 can't manage my time the way i want.

here is what i am confused: i have a task, it is a home work. and it is due on next friday, and i have a week to do, and i want to do it when i have free time during the week.

do i put it in the calender or task?
this is confusing. if i put it in the tast, i will never notice there a task that is due on next friday, because there may be alot of task in front of the this task.

but if i put it in the calender, then i will never know there is a task to do untill the day is due.

is there any program that will do the trick, i want to have a program that will put the tasks into the algenda and tell me when i should do what.

example: i have 3 tasks:
1) wash car
2) smoke
3) call escort

should i put them into task or calender? if i put them in the task, i will not know when i should do what.

but they are not time fixed, they can be do anytime that is free for me.

confosing, how do u guys manage ur time?

If you put it in calendar, you can make your appointment span several days. That should solve your problem.

Or if you make it a task, you can set its priority higher.

... or set reminders on the task.

Also considering playing with Agenda Fusion or Pocket Informant on your Pocket PC - these programs support various clever techniques to merge calendars and tasks together into one view.

Or you could set a start date for the other tasks so you don't have to deal with them for a while.

If you set the due date and priority though, the task list should organise them so that the most pressing ones are at the top and then it goes down from there, so if you look over the first few items in your task list regularly I don't see how one thing can get forgotten if it is organised.

Use the colour coding ability to differentiate between tsks of importance - and ensure they span as much time as they will take to 'complete' per suggestion above?

but if i put it in the calender, then i will never know there is a task to do untill the day is due.

Its not the same as having your tasks in your calendar, but using Outlook you can go to the Calendar folder, Click the view menu, Current View Menu, Day/Week/Month with AutoPreview. Then View (Again), Taskpad View menu, All Tasks.

At this point on my screen i have my tasks listed on the right. I can select 5 days of dates in the mini-calendar to show a week. Now to get Due Date to show in the taskpad, right-click one of headers for the columns in Taskpad, and go to field chooser. Somewhere in that list is a Due Date which you can drag as a new column into your taskpad. You can then sort by duedate.

It might take a little more thinking to get a good view on your upcoming week, but at least you won't have to buy any more desktop software.....

Hope it helps.?.?.?.?

I'm going to figure this one out on my own.
You're overthinking it :D Think of what he was trying to say...

Small hint: it's not a common acronym, unlike ROTFL, ROFL, or LMAO which are prevalent in forums.

Oh, yeah, I also wish a "GFY" to you.
