Has anyone had trouble with the patch install? I followed the intructions on the website and nothing installs to the Axim. I click on the driver icon on my desktop, it extracts, I do the run command and the box comes up showing me how I can tell if the patch is installed. I hit OK and the window goes away. My Axim is in the cradle with AS running. Nothing nada. Anyone have suggestions? Jeff
P.S yes I have checked the Axim already to see if the Nav driver installed and unfortunatly no.

So I click on the setup and the window that says how to know if the patch is installed comes up. I click OK and nothing happens after that. This is very sad, I have not had problems with installing apps in the past. Anyone know whats going on? Jeff

I get the exact same problem. I thought it was a problem with the file transfer.
I wonder if there's a mirrored site with a working copy. :(

I got the download from the ftp site and it worked just fine. I know that this may seem stupid but you are running the program from where it was extracted too? Mine went to the the hard under a dell file. Once I clicked on the .exe file it installed.

Well, I was. It does not work. When I click on the .exe (running 98SE), it launches the 'splash' screen telling me about the install, after that, nothing. AS does not launch to install, it simply does not work.
Its frustrating, but at the same time, there's an easy enough work around.

For enabling the 5th button on the d-pad. It allows the clicking (pushing in the center) to be an enter button.

Hi dorelse,
Do you see the two buttons on the splash screen after you click on the .exe file? There should be 2 buttons: "OK" and "Exit". Click on the "OK" and it will start the actual installation. At least that's how I did the patch install on my Axim. Hope it works for you.

Yes, of couse I do. Click it....wait...1 minute.....2 minutes....nothing starts.
I already got it to work by copying the .zip file to my Axim and running it there, so thanks for the help, but its already installed.
Works great on my Win2k machine, as others have stated, Win 98 SE, nada.

when the download completes SAVE instead of open.Save the unopened zip file to pc desktop. Then cut and paste the unopened zip file into your axim my docunents file.
Then take the axim out of the cradle and unzip the file in the axim...

I have Windows 98 too. I just downloaded the ZIP file to my desktop and unzipped it there. I then copied and pasted the three files it unzipped to my Axim Programs Folder using the File Explorer in ActiveSync. Then I used the Axim's file explorer to find the three files I had just copied to the Programs folder and clicked on the CAB file. The patch installed itself with no problem. Hope that helps. :)
