What are everyone's top rated games for the pocket pc? For Checkers, I recommended "Classic Checkers". It's not free, $9.95, but it is worth the price. After you order it, you can download the full version, that you payed for, and have the fun of your life. http://www.gameenergy.com/ is where you will find it. http://www.gameenergy.com/ also has a Free!!!!! Tic Tac Toe game, that is great also. I highly recommended them both. :D

I like Handmark Monopoly, Zio Soft Age of Empires Gold, Bubblets, and Spades. :)

You're awful excited and a "FREE!!!!!" tic tac toe game.
No offense though, but if this is your favorite game you need to get out more. Try Snails, or Rocket Elite, or Diamond Mine... something. :)

I think Monopoly and Scrabble are EXCELLENT games. Also, Ionside's Argentum is a high quality game.
What is Bubblets?
I found Age of Empires a bit slow. Do I just have to get used to it?

Wow...you don't normally see the word "checkers" in the same sentence as "the fun of your life". Maybe if the checkers exploded, or were commie spies that needed killin', THEN maybe we'd be getting closer to "big fun" territory. But checkers just doesn't do it for me.
But to keep on topic, I've been replaying the games of my childhood on yame - Zelda, Faxanadu, Goonies.
I've also played ZioSoft's SimCity, and that was pretty good. I'd like to try out Age of Empires, but I've bought too much software recently and need to cool down a bit before I buy any more.

Bubblets (http://www.oopdreams.com/ce/bubblets/)
As for Age of Empires, it is kinda of a slow starting game but can get hectic once the civilizations start to expand. Seems like bad guys (read as: anyone who isn't me) are coming out of the woodwork some times :P

I haven't tried Bubblets, but from their website, it looks similar to PocketPop (http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=1&jid=1D9CBD9A31CCABFA2BDBAEA91BC28BB7&productId=10541&optionId=1_2_2&productType=2&catalog=30&txtSearch=pocketpop§ionId=0&platformId=2). PocketPop is free, although everytime you start up they have an ad for Handango, although it isn't too long or annoying to me.

Maybe he works for GameEnergy? ;-) And why is this in the Dell area? Dell owners aren't the only ones who like games, I bet. :-)
As for what I like, here are my favorites:
Emerald Hunt (http://evolutionary.net/hunt-info.htm) Free if you don't mind nagware.
Snails (http://www.snailsgame.com)
Peter's Game Box (http://pdamill.com/products.shtml#gamebox) A bunch of games including Bubblets and Mah Jongg. (Get the 2.0 version; it's free.)
Cubicle Chaos (http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pocketpc/downloads/cubiclechaos.asp) Free Breakout-style game.
Pocket Gammon (http://www.regge-edv.de/e_software.html) Free if you don't mind nagware, and he only wants a postcard to eliminate that.

Your link didn't work (the period was treated as part of the URL). Here's a working link for TeeTee Software (http://www.teeteesoftware.com).

My favorites are Snails. I've even put it on my Jornada 720 and playing it on the WLAN with my co-workers :-)
Else I play Pocket Athlete, GangstaRace, xBall, SimCity and Lemonade Inc.
My next game will be Rayman Ultimate, loved the demo, but think $29,99 is a little bit expencive for an old Playstation game, so I'm waiting for a discount...
I'm spending way to much money on PPC-games, but it's addictive ;-)

Those are the only "good games" that I have played. I know they aren't the best, but they are the only good games, that I've played.

Just got G-Pod from Aim Productions (http://www.aimproductions.be)...fun absorbing game and HARD (at least with my arm in a cast :? )
It's one of the few peices of software I've paid for so far :) and seems worth the $13. Loaded it this afternoon and drew my battery down to 40% before I noticed.
Other than that, batty, q-tris (both available for FREE download from applian), free-cell (not the sbc one but I want it).

Yeah, Snails is cool, but networking is still beta.
As for the pineapple grenade, unless they changed how it works, it's hard to use. I prefer napalm. :-)

Yeah, Snails is cool, but networking is still beta.
But the Beta3 works perfect on both my iPAQ and my Jornada 720... haven't found any flaws yet :-)
Pinaple Grenade... it's all in the touch ;-)

Ninja, which controls?... G-Pod?
They are displayed when you start level one and on my e740, the flight controls work as advertised. However, the application buttons that are supposed to change the volume, pause, and rotate 180 all simply pause and bring up a menu that allows me to return to main menu, etc.
The flight controls are (holding pc landscape style w/ d-pad on left)
d-pad down -- sheild/charge/connect with g-pod/save position
d-pad up -- fire gun
left/right -- rotate
touch screen -- thrust
If you mean having trouble because it's near impossible to fly...yeah, I know :D It gets easier, and then when you go back to the early levels it's shockingly easy
Try a lot of little bursts of thrust instead of long burns... much more controlable!
BTW, I'm only on level 22 and it's taking me many lives just to complete one level, I can't imagine what the REAL hard levels are like 8O
Anyway, I hope this helps...josh

Call me crazy, but I think Chiraks is the best game EVER! Do a google search for it...need to browse through some Japanese sites to find it. Basically squares and hectagons shoot at you and you dodge bullets and shoot them, but the controls are AWESOME! TRUST ME....

The whole touching the screen to thrust sucks. I wish it could be another way.

Games I have loaded on my Pocket PC at the moment
* Marble Worlds (http://www.4pockets.com/game_mw.html) - beautiful graphics, lovely gameplay.
* Solitaire Engine (http://www.runicsoftware.com) - speaking as a programmer this game has beautiful program architecture - I love its engine-ness. Play this more than any other game I have. Really like the configurability of the games
* Pocket Slay (http://www.windowsgames.co.uk/slay.html) - had this on my Pocket PC longer than any other game. Good fun
* Pocket Grandmaster (http://www.pocketgrandmaster.com/english/index.html) - best Chess program I've seen. Looking forward to Hexacto's chess release this year as well as their backgammon offering
* Sorcery PDA (http://www.sorcerypda.com) - my latest - the current state of the art in Pocket PC gaming. Loveeely graphics. Still a few bugs to iron out but very exciting
And bored with ...
* Age of Empires (http://www.ziosoft.com/product.html?n=28) - I thought the graphics were a little disappointing
* Simcity (http://www.ziosoft.com/product.html?n=16) - won't be buying any more Ziosoft games. Prefer games specifically developed for the Pocket PC platform based on my experience to date
* Rebound (http://www.ppc4you.com/show.cgi?softid=679)
And thinking of checking out
* Fade (http://www.pocketmatrix.com/reviews/fade/) - has very nice graphics too & an interesting sounding story-line
* Gilbert Goodman (http://www.z-logics.com/GilbertPDA.html) - looks like a fun game

Snails looks like a clone of the "Worms" game for desktop PCs.
Is that a correct assessment? Haven't been able to find Worms on PPC. I do think the screenshots of Snails show it to have a bit too large graphics IMHO. Not as good an overview of the battle area as Worms. Too fat those Snails :D
Which reminds me. I dl'ed Lemmings to play on my Ipaq. Start a game. Hit my first Lemming to chop a hole in the ground. Chop he goes down, but not leaving a hole behind. Very buggy. Is there a working version somewhere?

Flux: The Mark Freeware sniper game. I know sniper isn't a popular word these days but it's a challenging game and you don't shoot innocent people in it.

Yeah, Snails is definitely like Worms for the PPC. I have no complaints about the graphics or size of snails... it all seems to work really well.

According to Flux's "The Mark" Web page (http://www.flux2game.com/games.htm?code=mark), the game isn't freeware. If you click the Buy button, they want $24.95 for it.
