For a quite a while I've been thinking about getting ...
1. a mobile phone,
2. a PDA / Palm / Pocket PC with large color display (about Palm size),
3. a GPS car navigation system,
4. an MP3 player,
5. a digital camera.

Now I'm trying to figure out a solution that allows me to combine all this in one, so I have to carry only 1 device and certainly to minimize costs too.

I know the XDA/MDA can be equipped with an external GPS antenna and navigation software (e.g. TomTom), so I got item 1-4 covered. But as far as I know there is no way to connect a camera to the XDA/MDA. I read this thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5447), but it doesn't give me what I want. I want a very small and cheap device with no own memory or display. One like the Veo PhotoTraveler (http://www.veo.com/products_pda.asp), Hanvit DScam (http://www.hv.co.kr/hardware/sol-sdcam.asp) or simular. But unfortunatly the XDA/MDA doesn't have an SDIO slot.

Any chance of connecting an external cam directly via USB?

The HP Jornada 928 WDA might be an option. It has a CompactFlash slot, so it would be possible to connect for example a Jacktron (http://www.jactron.co.uk/pocket-pc-index.htm) external camera or GPS navigation device. But (afaik) in Germany none of the major phonce providers offers a bundle deal with it, so it is quite expensive.

I read Samsumg will release a new PocketPC / SmartPhone soon: The I700. It even has a digital camera built in. But it is not on the market yet and not many details are known by now. And I guess it'll be costy when it comes out.

The Nokia 7650 would be a cheap alternative. A smartphone with integrated camera. But it has too little memory and no interface for external devices (e.g. GPS). And the display is too small.

There are a number of other solutions, but by now every one I found has some drawback.

Generally I'd prefer a PocketPC over a PalmOS PDA, to ensure maximum compatibility with my Windows PC. But I'm willing to review that. Any good PalmOS SmartPhones around?

If you are aware of more alternatives, any help or comments would be appreciated. :)
