Gidday,
Have been envious of everyone that has been able to get hands on an Ipaq 1910. I have been waiting patiently in New Zealand for any news of Ipaq1910 to arrive in the Country.
I want one....
Does anyone know anywhere that is selling the Ipaq 1910 that does international delivery to New Zealand?
Are there issues with power (NZ has AC240V) or warranties?
Are there any other issues with buying products from afar??
Your best bet is to buy one off trademe (www.trademe.co.nz) . There are usually a few people who imprt them and on sell them for a small margin. A quick search today showed at least one for sale.
The power adapter should work in New Zealand as it is an international adapater.
I don't know if the warranty will be valid if the unit is shipped to New Zealand.
I live in Auckland and have imported a couple of PDAs from the US and Australia with no problems.
I have Pmed this response to you as well.

thanks eco...
Have been to trademe and cannot see any Ipaq 1910 listed.
Yes there are other Compaq Ipaqs but not the Ipaq 1910.
You mentioned you saw at least one...where??
Also who do you normally import from?

Here's the one I saw on Trademe:

Buying off trade me is good because you can confirm that the unit works fine with no dead pixels etc without having to pay shipping back to the US.
I haven't brought from overseas for a while. It is hard to find a trustworthy store which will ship to NZ. I bought a casio EM-500 from outpost.com without any problems and would probalbly use them again. I have also bought a Toshiba e570 from Organiser World in Melbourne (www.ow.com.au) - although I wouldn't recommend them as they haven't replied to my last couple of emails. If you want to but from Australia buyquick.com.au is good- they will take off the Aussie GST when shipping to New Zealand (although the Ipaq 1910 isn't available from them as it hasn't been released in Australia yet).

Good luck - looks like the 1910 is a nice little machine.
i've now imported an Ipaq 1910. This thing is so small - its the smallest pocketpc i've ever seen and the screen is fantastic.
I got this one from Data Anywhere - their service is excellent www.dataanywhere.net. They shipped the day after I ordered and kept in touch by email.
I paid approx US$ 360 (inc shipping by Fedex) or approx $800 after conversion to NZ dollars and GST (customs levies GST at the border for items over $400).
