Hi All I am new to the forum and have a question. I just purchased the Dell Axim, I wanted to have it sync at work and Home. I can do that just fine. Here is my problem. I want my PPC to hold all of my contact and calendar info, but only sync my work info with my work PC and only Sync my Home info with my home PC. the reason for this is that at work we post our calendars to Exchange and I don't want personal appointments to show up. I did read in the ActiveSync 3.6 documentation that this was not possible, but I can't figure out why it allows you to check or uncheck categories (business, Personal) but does not follow what you check or uncheck. Does anyone know of any work around or 3rd party software that will allow me to do this? This is very frustrating. Sorry for the long winded question. Thank you in advance for anyone who can help.

{rant} They have got to fix this feature somehow. One of the main reasons I switched form Palm to Pocket PC was the more robust syncing features. Now it look like I have just another expensive peice of equipment. granted there are features I like better on the Pocket PC. But for them to not include this feature is terrible. Why would you sync 2 PC's with your handheld and have the exact same data on all three!{/end rant}

Might see if intellisync from www.pumatech.com has this capability.

Thanks again Ed, But I don't think Intellisync has this feature either. Does anyone else think this would be a good selling point for the PocketPC/Activesync. I am sure I am not the only one who would want my PPC to hold all my data and segregate work and home.

I just bought my PPC 2-weeks ago and I totally feel your pain. Syncing between home and work (i.e. having a copy of all my information in one place) was one of the main reasons I bought my PPC. But loading my personal information on my work computer is not an option.
I want my PPC to hold a both my work and personal info. But for the most part I want my home PC to only contain my personal info and my work PC to only hold my work info. I’ve heard rumors that Intellisync can do this (based on other posts) but I have not tried it yet. Plus it's an extra $70. ActiveSync developers PLEASE include this functionality on your next release :!: This is a basic need and is very important.
