Windows Media Player Problem on my new Axim

I had media player 7.1 working, Then I went and did the media player update from Microsoft and now when I go to start media player, I get a message that no skins are intalled to reinstall or visit the skin site. Then when I hit ok it does not start and I go back to the today screen?

I have tried to install a skin. I put it in the windows directory, "didnt work" then I put it in the program/windows media directory, "didnt work"
Any help will be appreciated.

What do you mean, you had Windows Media Player 7.1 on your Axim? The Axim comes with Windows Media Player 8.5. You do not need any patches etc... WMP 8.5 is the latest mobile version. You may be looking at a Hard Reset to get back to a working WMP. :?

Are you sure you're talking about a Pocket PC problem. If you have a problem with your normal PC, find another forum....

L.Rentz' subject says "Axim" and is talking about going back to the "Today Screen". I would imagine it is a problem on the Dell. Perhaps when L.Rentz comes back and answers it will be clarified for us...

Sorry. I forgot to give the platform. I figured since I posted it in the Axim forum that would be specify the platform.

How much data have you put on the Axim? I am sure Sslixtis is right: If you downloaded older versions of the software, you may have to do a hard reset...But, have you tried a soft reset yet?
