Is it possible to change the shortcut icons of the programs in the /Startmenu/Programs file? I have figured how to change folder icons, such as the games folder, but I cannot find a way to change icons like on a desktop. Also, the pocket pc doesn't seem to recognize icons I download or copy onto the device. When attempting to change an extension icon, Pocket Tweak just displays the standard windows flag when I select a custom icon? Any help would be appreciated.

Good question. I tried to create a new file type (.htmx) just for fun which would invoke Pocket Internet Explorer but have a custom icon. I created my own icon in the eMbedded Tools registry editor, copied it to my iPAQ, then went into the registry and created the new extension which pointed to my icon.
My .htmx files opened just fine in Pocket IE when I double-tapped them in a file browser, but they didn't display my icon. :-(
It would be nice if there was a resource editor/viewer that ran on the Pocket PC.

I'd actually like to know this as well. I have quite a few generic VB apps and a few apps that just display other types of generic icons...
anyone??

I tried a method of moving the shortcut icon to my desktop and changing the icon with shortcut properties. For some reason, the tab was greyed out. So then I created a shortcut icon on my desktop and selected a custom icon. I moved the icon over to my pocket pc. In Resco Explorer, the icon of the shortcut was again the standard windows flag. When I tapped on the icon it gave me the standard message of no application associated with .ink. it appears that desktop .ink files and PPC .ink files are two different types. Maybe there is an ActiveSync plugin.

Just so you'll know, those are .lnk files (for "link"), not .ink.
