Need help, today screen.

I have a bunch of pictures I could use for my today screen.
Yet when I choose them they al look really weak, colours and definition are gone.
Ive had this happen with both my ipaq as wel as my toshiba.
What am I doing wrong?

Are you using the theme generator or the wallpapper option. If you are using the wallpapper option another thread mentioned that the pictures will look washed out. I use the free theme generator from Microsoft to put my photos on the today screen.

Well said blazingwolf. Sounds like you simply need to get the Theme gen from Microsoft's website. You can get that and more here: http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pocketpc/downloads/default.asp

Nah, easy mistake... wondered the same thing myself until I downloaded a few themes and noticed how much darker they were.

Note: In order for Theme Generator to work you must have XP installed on your desktop. If you don't have XP I would recommend Theme Browser from Mutx. www.mutx.com SideX, freeware application from Mutx must be installed as well. Those two programs are a good combination.

I'm not quite so sure about needing XP. I thought I saw something about 98 and such. I think there's some misinformation about that somewhere.

This download is intended for use on English Windows 98, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

I downloaded Theme generator V.2 and it doesnt work on my machine running 98SE. Jeff

Yeah, I know for sure it works on 2000. It didn't work previously on my desktop that ran 98SE (now runs XP).
