If I am not using the iPAQ, should I keep it plugged into ac adapter, so the battery won't drain. Even if the battery is at 100%?

Thanks

Yes. Your iPAQ could stay off power for quite some time, but when I don't plan to use and charge the device for more than a week or so, I keep it charged "just in case". If the battery is completely discharged, you'll have to set it up all over again.

Ah, if only my H3765 would last a week, unused, without a charge.... (OK, it might go 8 days, but no more.) Make sure you have a backup, in any case..

What's the longest time an iPAQ can be kept connected to the charger?

I haven't heard of any maximum length of time you can charge an iPAQ. Older NiCad batteries worked best when drained then recharged, but I don't think that matters with the iPAQ.

...and just to add onto Steve's point, keeping your Lithium batteries charged as often as possible is probably a pretty good policy. Unlike NiCads, deep discharges do more harm than good to the life of your Lithium batteries.

So even in the future, when we have Lithium batteries that can last through a week of usage, it still wouldn't be advisable to do that on a regular basis.
