Removing Inbox Contents PPC2002

I'd like to know if there's an option to clean up the Inbox contents to force a complete resync. How about just to save memory temporarily? Can the inbox contents be stored on the storage card?

Also, I keep getting an error saying there is 1 unresolved item. When I try to resolve it I get an error saying that an attachment file is in use. Rebooting both systems doesn't always resolve it. Any idea what's going on? Is there a way to force a complete "desktop overrides handheld" resync?

you could remove your devices association with your desktop and then recreat it selecting the overwrite option you want and making sure that only inbox is syncronized. Then remove the association again and recreate it choosing your old settings...

Might be a easier way but that is what comes to mind.
