"remove Programs"

I have programs listed in my "remove Programs" menu that are no longer installed. Does anyone know how to clear it off the list?

Click the remove button on activesync and it will remove it from your desktop computer and the list.

?? How did you uninstall the programs without going to the Remove Programs list in the first place ??

Here's what I normally do... Go ahead and highlight the program listed and hit the "Remove" button. If it complains about a specific DLL, then your PPC has the file locked and it cannot be deleted.

Using a program such as Resco File Explorer (not sure of the regular File Explorer will work... you can also try looking for the file using the "Explore" option via ActiveSync) to search for the DLL and then manually rename it to something else (ensure that your display options are set to show all files instead of hiding system files). Once the file has been renamed, do a soft-reboot, delete the file and then re-attempt the "Remove" program.

The programs were installed to a SD card. I bought a new card and chose not to copy some programs to it, but my Ipaq still lists them as being installed. I manually deleted the shortcuts but when you going into Start, Settings, Remove Programs they are still listed.

Since you didn't do an actual "uninstall" of those programs, they may have left behind files in the Windows directory (.dlls, etc).

hey, i got the same problem before as well, you can try this trick: go to file explorer, tap and hold select the windows folder, then tap and hold in empty place, select the show all files menu.
then you find program folder, if the program name name is there deleted it, if you cannot find then go to my device, find program folder and deleted the program from there.
