I am using a utility StorageTools. It allows me to set both the type as well as the Cluster Size. I own a 128MB SD SanDisk Card and have selected FAT32 with a Sector/Cluster Size of 512 Bytes.

What is the optimal setting for my iPAQ? I store mainly resource materials i.e. TomeRaider dictionaries, etc. on the card. I understand the tradeoffs when dealing with a rotating magnetic drive but, am totally confused on how the memory is managed. Can someone clear me up on this and recommend the best settings or, am I needlessly concerned about nothing?

Flash isn't rotating magnetic storage, so the requirements are less stringent. For 128MB, though, I'd use FAT16/2KB clusters... it's "good enough". FAT32 uses a little more overhead for such a capacity, but it should work fine too.
