My laptop does not have an IR port. I have a Ipaq 3975 and would like to transfer my contact info to my T68i. Is this possible and if so how?

I'm not sure why your laptop would need an IR port. If you can't beam directly from your iPAQ to your phone, how would you do it from your laptop?
I synchronize my laptop with my StarTac occasionally using a serial cable and TrueSync (http://www.truesync.com) software. I got this in a kit at my local Verizon store. If there's a serial cable for your T68i, maybe this would work for you, too.

Your options to sync your T68i and Outlook on your laptop (using XTNDConnectPC for Ericsson) are:
Get a USB to IR adaptor (a bit of a backwards step really).
Add Bluetooth to your laptop with a PCMCIA or USB Bluetooth adaptor (which should also allow you to ditch your cradle and Bluetooth ActiveSync but check with a 3975 owner first - I use a Socket CF card in my Jornada for this).
Get a T68i data cable.

On your T68, select the Connect Menu, IR port, then 10 minutes. Now, turn on your iPAQ, go to contacts, tap-and-hold as many as you like (there might be a limit of 25 per transfer) and beam them.
You can also do this with bluetooth - just bond the devices then put your T68 in Discoverable mode temporarily. It won't accept them in Automatic mode for some reason, even though it will accept modem requests. That is the T68M - the T68i might have fixed that little annoyance.
