I just got a Silver Slider and a Wi-Fi card. My iPaq h3955 doesn't sync with the Slider/Card in. Is this usual? Should I be taking the Slider/Card off before syncing?

Thanks!

BTW, I'm using a D-Link Wi-Fi card.

Make sure that in activesync, connection settings, you have USB/serial connections enabled as well. After i got a wifi card for my iPAQ I no longer use the usb syncing any longer - wifi sync is much faster!

What error does it give you? I had an error with my iPaq 5455 that it would not sync via 802.11b and it wouldn't sync when it was in the cradle and had 802.11b enabled. After spending 3 hours on the phone with tech support, we finally cleared the problem with a hard reset. I reinstalled the same software and restored teh same data but it had no effect. Not sure what caused it....

To sync it is best in Settings -> connections -> network adapters -> your network card -> name servers to set WINS to your computers address. And you should set your computer to connect to Work as opposed to The Internet.

Also, this works best if the computer's address is static and not DHCP.
