Don't take my word for it, but I think that I read somewhere that the 5450 iPAQ series can only accept USB connections, as opposed to USB/Serial connections that the previous iPAQs were capable of making. Again, I would look into this more than what I have said. :P

No, you're thinking of the 1910. The 5450 is still capable of serial communications, uses the same pinouts as the 3800/3900 units, and its cradle comes with both serial and USB connectors on the end.

WhitE_RabbiT, check out HP's site. They have a variety of accessory cables to get a standard 9-pin serial connector. You might also want to check out www.thesupplynet.com if you're trying to hook up your 5450 to a cell phone...

Thank you; I knew it was an iPAQ, but I wasn't sure which one.

actually, wut im tryin to do is hook my 5400 to my paintball gun so i can update the settings while at the feild....

at any rate, heres a pic of what i have to connect too....
(then i hafta port the software to pocket pc from palm, that is unless there is an emulator out there)

bleh, nevermind, just realized i cant attach an image on these boards.....
at any rate, the cable is just a regular serial cable that connects to your computer...
but i'll go check out those sites

also, i am eventually going to use my v60 as a modem, so i need a cable for that too

Porting the software is the challenge. You can't emulate desktop software.

See this HP page (http://h20022.www2.hp.com/busprod/pocketpc/options/pc_connectivity/?lsidebarLayId=823) for a list of their connectivity accessories, in particular the AutoSync cables or the short cable coupled with the 3600-to-3800 adapter.

You can either connect two cables together, or get a unified cable from SupplyNet, whose URL I gave above.
