I was leafing through PPC Mag today (woohoo Christmas! :D) and I saw an ad for a company that was selling storage solutions that use pcmcia cards as an interface between the storage media and the device used (not all of their products are for PocketPCs). But when I looked closer at the picture, it showed a PCMCIA card attached to a floppy drive. So I thought hmmm.... maybe I could hook this sorta thing up to my ipaq and see if PPC2k2 will recognize it? (The floppy being shown as a storage card?) Anyway, here is the link for the pcmcia floppy drive:

Also, they have some PCMCIA 10gb+ hard drive solutions that specifically say that it will work with Windows CE 2.0+3.0+, which can be found here:

Oh, and Happy New Year! I'll be waiting here one hour after it turns midnight here, so I can see what PPCT has in store for us! :D
:x-mas:  :rock on dude!:

Nice research :) Why would you want to use floppy disks as a storage solution though?

Well, since floppies were/sometimes are used a lot, you could read and write to them with your PPC. Think of it, you have your PPC with you, and say, you're over a friend's house or at a computer with a floppy drive. You can transfer files between the two via a floppy, without having to carry a usb/serial cable around

I personally say it is too cumbersome, and not portable. It's kind of pricey for what they're offering. If you are interested in getting data on to floppy, there are many floppy adapters for compact flash, SD that are available. Good luck!
