Does anyone know anything about Hitachi's NPD-10JWL? Apparently this has been out for a while in Japan and runs CE.NET. Announced months ago but I can't seem to find any detailed info out there that isn't in Japanese.

InfoSync announcement (http://www.infosync.no/show.php?id=1497)

It seems we'll all be finding out about the next version of the PocketPC OS fairly soon but does this run a version of the PocketPC OS or has Hitachi added something of their own on top of CE? Accelent (http://www.accelent.com/TMRG5.ASP?PAGE_ID=586) seem to have been involved somewhere along the line - did they write the GUI?

I'm pretty sure Hitachi built their own GUI on top of the base CE.Net OS. I don't know much else about this device, but I sure seems like I read that somewhere back when it first came out.

From the pictures, this is definitely not a Pocket PC front-end. The taskbar at the bottom is a CE .Net-ism (actually a CE-ism).

I've seen a touchpad by TeleVideo running CE .Net, and the user interface strongly resembles that of the HPC's. A bunch of non-Pocket PC's are out running the OS.
